Shared Chores

Each tenant will be assigned a required area of responsibility for a period of one week and then given the other area of responsibility the next. If a tenant does not do assigned chores and no action was made after reminding by other roommates or the landlord, a third-party cleaner will be called in to do the cleaning and the cost will be billed to the tenant with the next rent payment. The kitchen, garbage, laundry, and basement chores will be shared by all five. The upper bathroom and common area chores will be shared by rooms 1,2 and 3. Lower bathroom and common space chores will be shared by rooms 4 and 5.

To simplify the process, whoever is on duty will take care of all the following chores for one week and get a break for 4 weeks. In case of a “skipped week” for garbage collection, the chores can be shared by two people before the next collection date.
